P29 Boltenhagen

The latest addition to Malta’s successful artificial reef program is the former East German mine sweeper P29 Boltenhagen. She was scuttled in 2007 in the popular dive area of Cirkewwa in Malta as the second wreck in the area – the first one is the very popular dive Rozi.

Missing liveaboard in Thailand

The liveaboard M/V Dive Asia sank outside Phuket in Thailand last week.  She was heading from Phuket to the Similan Islands but sank on the way.  20 divers were later found alive, floating in the water – seven are still reported as missing. It is unclear what caused the accident.
