DAN Incident Report

The internet is a fantastic place and there is an enormous source of high quality (and low quality unfortunately) reading available. One example is the DAN Annual Diving Report where you get a thorough summary of scuba diving accidents and the causes of them. It may not be the most cheerful reading but I think that being a good diver means learning from past accidents and trying to prevent them.

The report is compiled by DAN who do a lot of valuable research. I have previously had a very negative experience with the DAN contact in Malta so I usually discourage people from DAN but in spite of this I think that they do provide valuable insight throught their research.
